Important Propane Safety Information

All of us at Pivotal Propane, LLC. are committed to providing you with the best possible services and affordable values.  We operate our propane gas systems in a manner that assures you a safe, reliable, and economical fuel source for all of your energy needs.

Our propane gas systems operate under rules, regulations, and procedures designed to provide you with the utmost safety, convenience, and value.  We constantly monitor the condition of our gas systems with our CETP trained personnel and with the help of system experts to assure the reliability and safety of operation.  Any repairs or modifications to a propane gas system must be performed by qualified technicians of Pivotal Propane or your propane provider as required by state and federal regulations.

While propane is a safe, reliable, and clean energy source, it is important that you are aware of these basic safety tips.  Be sure that all family members are familiar with the odor of propane, know where the shutoff valve is, and what to do if a leak is suspected.

Understanding how to properly use and store propane, as well as how to detect warning signs of a gas leak can significantly reduce the risk of a propane-related hazard in your home or business.  We have and will continue to offer a gas system check, by one of our professionally-trained technicians, at no cost to our customers.  To help you identify the odor of propane and other useful information, please stop by our office and pick up a pamphlet about Important Propane Safety Information created by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC).  You can also find more information at their website, https://www.propanecouncil.org/

Propane gas is normally a safe product when used correctly.  However, if it leaks or is used incorrectly, it is a flammable substance which can catch fire or, in rare cases, cause an explosion.  If you suspect a leak, call us or your propane provider immediately.  If you can hear, feel, or smell gas strongly and/or suddenly, you should leave and report the leak from another location immediately.

At Pivotal Propane, we take pride in keeping your home or business protected. Thus, we are providing you with this important safety information regarding the use and storage of propane.  We ensure that our products are delivered in compliance with the highest industry safety standards, to safeguard your family, your property, and the environment.   We participate in the industry’s best practices for propane usage and promote consumer safety education and awareness to our Duty to Warn program mailing annual letters with safety information and PERC pamphlets.
